Choice Hotels International Q1 EPS Beats Analyst Forecasts

Choice Hotels International reported earnings per share for Q1 slightly better than analysts’ estimates.
EPS for the quarter was $0.51, compared with $0.37 in the same quarter a year earlier, the hotel operator said on Thursday. Analysts in a Capital IQ poll expected EPS of $0.50 per share on average.

Q1 revenue totaled $197.9 million, compared with 207.1 million a year earlier, and below the $216.24 million average forecast of analysts. The company said it expects Q2 diluted EPS to be in a range between $0.75 and $0.77 and full-year diluted EPS to range between $2.78 and $2.84. Analysts on average expect Q2 EPS of $0.78 and full-year EPS of $2.83.
